I have enclosed a screen shot, with the device plugged in, also a screen shot of the device manager with the device plugged in I guess i got the name wrong, it is called "this PC" usually when i plug anything in a USB port it shows up there, Is that what your other Lap looks like? How about this one? One is not enough and there should not be one with Exclamation Mark like you see in my picture by Multimedia Video Controller! (subsequently resolved) Without those 2 entries it isn't going to happen. With the USB device plugged in your Device Manager must look like this: (I realize that some of this you might know, but just need to make sure we are on the same page) Of course the USB device has to be plugged into the Lap in order for it to show up in the Device Manger. No idea what that is in the Device Manager? I looked on my PC's and don't see anything of that title. On there you say it shows up under "my pc location". Of course USB 3 will accept and work with any USB 2 device, so don't leave them out.Īnother 'power' issue is trying to run on internal battery vs outlet and power adapter The power output varies for the ports on a Dell, some offer the higher milliamps to power devices and the difference is that some are double the power of others on their laps. AI R: I have been following along but not chimed in until now.
