When I view the properties of this file, full access is given to "TrustedInstaller" and SYSTEM and other users have less access. Try to start it, I get an error that "Access is Denied". I find that the driver USBSTOR is commonly "stopped" (I believe this to be the problem). This actually has provided the most information (but will not allow me to correct the issue). Ran some program I found online called ServiWin. This includes ensuring that USBSTOR.sys is called during boot-up. Verified all common troubleshooting steps found as they regard to the registry. Also ensured that all USB ports and drivers in the BIOS are enabled. Updated all motherboard drivers and firmware. Verified that there are damaged/out of date/missing drivers in Device Management. Verified that there are no unassigned drives/letters in Drive Management. I also attempted to replace the drivers (inīoth locations) with a rolled back version (ver .17514) and had no change in performance. I also deleted all of the contents of the related C\windows\system32\driverstore folders. They all auto-reinstall to no change.ĭeleting the USBSTOR.sys (ver.
